Our laboratory investigates the cerebellum beyond its traditional role in motor control, focusing on its critical contribution to emotion and cognition. We map the long-range neural circuits linking the cerebellum to the forebrain to understand how these networks regulate social behavior. Ultimately, we aim to decipher how cerebellar dysfunction leads to psychiatric-like behaviors relevant to disorders such as autism and schizophrenia.
本實驗室致力於探討小腦在傳統運動控制以外的功能，特別聚焦於其在情緒與認知調控中的關鍵角色。我們透過解析連結小腦至前腦的長程神經迴路，旨在釐清這些神經網絡如何調控社會行為。最終，我們期望揭示小腦功能異常如何導致自閉症及思覺失調症相關的精神疾患行為。

The cerebellum is increasingly implicated in psychiatric conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and schizophrenia spectrum disorders (SSD), yet the specific circuit mechanisms remain unclear. By combining optogenetics, chemogenetic, and in vivo fiber photometry with pharmacology, molecular biology and behavioral assays, this project seeks to decipher the cerebellar neural circuitry underlying psychiatric-like symptoms.
小腦在精神疾患 — 包括自閉症譜系障礙症與思覺失調譜系障礙症 — 中的角色日益受到重視，然而其具體的神經迴路機制仍不明確。本計畫結合光遺傳學、化學遺傳學、活體光纖記錄技術，並搭配藥理學、分子生物學及行為分析，旨在解析導致類精神疾患症狀之小腦神經迴路。
